The upstairs rooms offer a fantastic view of Coles Bay, which is a killer way to knock out the day with waves lapping you to sleep. Plus, they've got a BBQ area down by the beach, perfectly set up for a casual cookout after a day of exploring.
The rooms definitely need some work—aging decor and a lack of basic amenities like air conditioning can hit hard on a hot day. The bathrooms are a bit dated, and having just one sink for both dish and personal washing is less than ideal, making one wonder how this place earned a three-star rating. The lack of adequate heating during colder nights was also a letdown, and the small heater just couldn't cut it against the cold air sneaking through the door.

The location was fantastic with breathtaking views of the bay. I loved sipping coffee on the balcony while soaking in the morning light. The room, a Queen Room with Bay View, was neat and spacious. It had essential amenities like a fridge, microwave, and kettle, which were super handy. the room could use some modern upgrades. The lack of air conditioning made it a bit uncomfortable during warm nights, especially since it got quite hot during my stay. Plus, the bathroom felt dated compared to the rest of the room. Staff interactions were mixed. while some were helpful, others seemed a tad unfriendly during check-in.

The accommodation at Swansea Motor Inn was clean and reasonably spacious. The best part was the stunning ocean views from the balcony which made every morning feel special while sipping coffee. The location is excellent for exploring Freycinet National Park and nearby eateries.

Recommend it for families
We arrived and wow! The staff were so friendly, they made us feel like we belonged. The kids loved the BBQ area, and we all enjoyed those stunning views of the water at sunrise. Seriously, that morning light hitting the bay just made the whole trip worth it.
It wasn't exactly a bargain, but honestly, it was still acceptable for what we got.

We had an incredible time exploring Coles Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula during our stay. The view of the sea was stunning, and we really appreciated the clean and comfortable room. Traveling with our precious dog was easy, making it a perfect family getaway.
In my wife’s opinion, the lack of air conditioning made nights uncomfortable.
